Rant post -
Wednesday, riding home from work in the rain and into a strong headwind... geeez this feels nice and hard all of a sudden....
A lovely tek screw sticking out of my front tyre sidewall... nice wet tyre change.. :(
Thursday night, riding home in the rain. pssshhhh - sliver of glass straight through my rear conti GP4000S.
Today, go for a nice beach ride in the sun... after 41km... sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh-sh
AARRRRGH! ANOTHER bit of BLOODY GLASS sticking out of my rear tyre!!!!!!
I'm spending more money on tubes this week than I ever spent on parking and petrol!
Im thinking I might have to take the penalty and ditch the GP4000S's for some gatorskins or similar as this is just doing my head in!!!

Ordered some gaterskins and some GP4000S for summer (twinpacks).
$163 for both - not bad.
This is what happens when the bicycle tyre market is driven by preferences for low weight and low rolling resistance rather than puncture resistance...
So why are you replacing punctured tubes at any price, thats ridiculous.

Puncture fairy struck twice in Crafers, in the end didn't even make the summit - DOH!!!!! After the second one thought it was best to ride home and put on new tyres. Got about 4500km out of my Vittoria Diamantes but were starting to look pretty ragged anyway.
