hi guys..

i have recently finished a project bike for my work commute. Nothing special, steel frame with 2nd hand Sora etc etc.

The problem is that my workmates (and one of their young sons) are impressed and would like one of their own. We dont have access to steel frames (or early alu) up here (YP) and i was hoping that someone out there in generous Adelaide Cyclist Land might be able to point me in the right direction....

Happy to trade for some very impressive home brew ginger beer :)

thanks in advance guys.

Stephen.

anybody got anything sitting in their shed that they would like to get rid of?

the bike i brought back to life is being ridden by a mate of mine up here on our tuesday staff rides.. started with myself and a mate- we had 15 this week- including 3 brand new ones bought sunday (thanks gav at avanti salisbury for your patience and expertise)..

Check my advert in the classified section.

Bikes for Refugees has a 2 or 3 steel frames that we do not want - you are welcome to have these for free.

We also have  maybe 10-15 steel frame bikes,  10-speed racers, and older mountain bikes,  intact, need doing up. You're welcome to come and take a look.   Bikes for Refugees is a volunteer not-for-profit community scheme -  happy to do a swap -  but perhaps for parts, another bike, etc.    mike.brisco@flinders.edu.au

cheers Mike. Am on yorke peninsula and might be able to sneak down in the next week or 2. Any idea what size the frames are and their 'condition'. Im not all that picky, but im not sure how keen my mates are to spend the next month with some wet/dry in their hands.. lazy sods.
