Great idea for a thread!

Woodchester to Wistow is character building......

Then there's:

Corkscrew Rd

NE Rd to Inglewood and on up through Chain of Ponds to Birdwood and Mt Pleasant

Lwr NE Rd up Anstey's Hill

Up Montague Rd

Gawler to One Tree Hill Rd up 'Dead Man's Pass' out of Gawler

One Tree Hill Rd to Golden Grove up Snake Gully

Kersbrook Hill between One Tree Hill and Kersbrook

Palmer Hill from Palmer up to Mt Pleasant

Sedan Hill from Sedan up to Keyneton and Angaston

Walker Flat Rd to Mt Pleasant

Mengler's Hill

The Hummocks from Pt Wakefield to Kulparra

Belair Road and Cement Hill are 2 very popular ones to add to the list

There are two lists.

A list of the hills you must do because they're scenic, or well known; &

A list of the hills you must do because they're tough.

I'll put 5 on each list (in no particular order).

Scenic or well known list:

  • Mt Lofty
  • Old Norton Summit Rd
  • Belair Rd
  • Old Willunga Hill Rd
  • Ocean Boulevard, Seacliff Park (aka Cement hill)

'Tough' list:

  • Checker Hill Rd
  • Coach House Drive, Teringie
  • Sheoak Rd, Belair
  • top of Morphett Rd, Seaview Downs
  • top of Kensington Rd

OMG I so agree with top of Morphett Rd

+1 - good to know, because I didn't make it, had to stop 30m from the top…

Windy point never gets a mention....
Yes it does.   Belair Rd  (see above)   Me and Darren
Another one that never gets a mention is branching off Windy Pt at the restaurant and heading up to the top via Kalyra rd - same elevation in about a quarter of the distance. I'd love to know how the slope on that compares with Checker in case I don't get out to suss it out before the TDU. Anyone?
I can't think of ten at the moment but Clarendon Rd, Clarendon is a real nice climb, not too hard, but nice views, very enjoyable.
