A nice ride today Angus, thanks for the organisation, my legs are aching a bit due to all that flat spinning (I'm more accustomed to slow grinding) or maybe it was lack of the heart starting caffeine. Definately need a new city starting point Boccelli's is gorrrrrrrrrrrrrn.

Boccelli's was a total fail! There were 30+ La Squadra (the Bocelli's team) sitting there, about 10 of us and a few others who all would have bought coffee. Crazy! Suggestions for another city start point are welcome.

Permalink Reply by Peter Hill on May 20, 2012 at 17:08 Thanks for organising it Gus (and thanks for taking one of the rare photos of me smiling!). What a beautiful bit of weather for a burn along the coast.
Great to see all the Matts, Muddies Buddies, Thursday Nighters and a whole stack of AC-ers from the other side of town. Finished the day off with a cruise around Mutton Beach (thanks Kevin) with BJ and hit a head-wind all the way back home bringing this weeks total to about 300 km. I'm pooped.
OOOH OOOH OOOH 358kms for me, 1 Star cyles ride, 2 commutes, 1 Murray Bridge ride + today. Now I've got 7 days at work :-( :-(
Permalink Reply by Peter Hill on May 20, 2012 at 20:14 358!! should be a law against riding that much. One day I'll find time to do a ride to Murray Bridge. Keep thinking about that big descent near Palmer...
Yes it's a fun descent, saw a lady assending it last Friday fully loaded with panniers and walking. Been feeling guilty ever since for not stopping for a chat
Permalink Reply by Roger Gurr on May 20, 2012 at 17:12 A great morning...weather, roads & a nice bunch of riders to boot! Was good to get more kms into the legs and under the bike, and I'm already looking forward to #2 on June 10th.
Thanks Gus for organising and thanks too to Heather & Stuart for the 3-person breakaway (or can 3 riders constitute a peloton?) up Port Road and through the city to the east-side.
Ride safe everyone, see you out and about
Permalink Reply by Matt Brennan on May 20, 2012 at 17:28 Fantastic day for it even though it was a chilly start.
Great to catch up with a few people, see the regulars and meet a few new people ....putting a face to a forum.
Riminimis was even open!! If only I had some more time...and my wallet...

Permalink Reply by Matt Jones on May 20, 2012 at 18:51 Absolutely sensational riding day today, even better when my 6 yo daughter decided today was the day to take off the trainer wheels, no going back now.
Hopefully this weather holds for GS#3 next week.
