Rode with the PALS guys from Mawson Lakes out to Glenelg via Bridge and Portrush, awesome day & lots of bike riders out. A nice 100 k ride but lots of moron drivers today but didn't let it spoil my day, have to enjoy these nice days won't be too many left for many months!
What a glorious sounding ride you had. And well done on your fast time. Also to Neil with his King of the Mountain. You might have a few visitors join you after describing that route. In autumn the colours would be splendid. Combined with the perfect weather of course.

Return to Gawler to enjoy the coffee and friendly banter. Then another 20+ km home. 112km for the day ave 29.5 which for me was pretty good.

Permalink Reply by Dave L on April 28, 2012 at 19:42 Did my usual Cobwebs ride from the Buffalo at Glenelg. Fantastic ride Today, great weather and an excellent group ride. Then moved to South parklands, went for a nice ride around Norwood and surrounds, back to Greenhill rd. Cancer Council HQ to greet the Supercycle team finishing their 1000km ride.
What an encredible effort by these guys and girls. They had some very tough days over the last week but raised a huge amount of money and finished in style all looking very happy.

Was at my partners place at Oaklands Park...went to Glenelg, up to Seacliff, then along Cove Rd to Lonsdale hwy. Turned around and went back along Cove Rd, then to Seacombe Rd, Marion Rd return...got back just on dusk for a 26 kp/h average including traffic and a non-functioning computer until Diagonal Rd...wheel magnet had 'slipped' out of place...
Beautiful low sun on the water at Glenelg/ Brighton...nice

Took my new commuter up her first hills. Just so she doesn't think its all flat.
Fantastic weather.
Permalink Reply by Roger N on April 30, 2012 at 8:31 Well, Hugh (my seven year old) and I set out for our usual Sunday 40-50k ride (he's got a roady) from home to the coast and across to Grange (or thereabouts) and back. When we got to Grange he wanted to push on to Semaphore. At Semaphore he wanted to push on to Outer Harbour... you get the picture. After heading up Old Port Rd we turned around and went to Seacliff. Long story short by the time we got home he had cracked the ton - 100k - his first. He's as pleased as punch. Big day in the life of a bike crazy kid - he slept well last night.
Give him a wave if you see him out on his red Avanti Giro 650 accompanied by a MAMIL on a red Ridley.
