Event Description

A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.

Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).

Starts and finishes at the Port Noarlunga Institute car park (near Becks Bakery) at the always sunny Port Noarlunga.

This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.

There will be regular stops to regroup on what will be a gently undulating track.

Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.

We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.

Meet for a rider briefing at 7.30am for a 7.45am start.

If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.

All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.

All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

OK to get us started I have created an event for the 3rd March :-)

Phil and I will probably try and drag the kids down to the park at McLaren Vale so at least one of us can be with the group all the way :-)

Sorry to hear Wattsy, thanks for your efforts and help in getting me back into riding. Happy to help out here as TEC if needed, I cant think of a more appropriate spot in the pack for me.

sad to hear wattsy! hope that you still come out and catch up with everyone from time to time! "enjoy" the study (as much as you can) =-)

We all can perhaps rotate leaders and TEC , I reckon it builds character :P

As a postscript to this ride, where we unfortunately lost Kym somehow (sorry Kym!), this was the last 'L' ride that I will be organising. I have enjoyed the rides very much, however, will be unable to commit the time as study reappears in my life. Thanks all for your participation.

lets hope that this wind "disappears" by the time we roll out!

Looking like a great day for it tomorrow. Mostly sunny and 32C at Noarlunga. It'll be in the high teens when we roll out. Perfect. Don't forget your water bottles!
