Enjoyed the climb don't get me wrong just was not ready for it I guess with a week off. I am fine now thanks Matt & Pattrick and despite me feeling rough on the road back home set some new PR's on most segments today :-)

Sounds like I made the right choice in not going up North Gillian.

Anyhow with a little under two weeks to the big day for me anyway would anyone else consider sponsoring me? check out my page or please donate..

Pennys Hill Road sucks in cross winds - I hate that when descending !

@Gillian, had a similar commotion coming down Penny's! Was trying to figure out if I could become aerodynamic enough to not get blown sideways! After laughing at this thought, and myself, I just thought that slowing down would be the most sensible thing :-)

@ Matt. Mum's printer ran out of ink half way through "Dear Southern Subu   "   I'll get her to skip the formalities next time.

@ Wattsy. I reckon I leaned both ways equally. Damn wind meant I didn't get to T&F Menglers. It was more tuck and hang on for dear life!

@Pat. It was my slowest ascent ever, despite the tailwind!

Comment by Andrew on January 7, 2012 at 14:48

@ Gillian, I hope you leaned 45 degrees both sides, just to even up the effort!

@Patrick - Looks like the ride was full of excitement today.

@Matt - Cheers mate, already onto it. Its at the shop as we speak and the spares on.

Strewth! I spent half the GW ride at a sideways angle of 45 degrees. Please take me back? Pretty please??

Good to meet you Scott (and Damian) I ended up walking home after I got a pu****re 500m from home.

@ Michelle, it was hard work, I reckon we all struggled riding back into the wind after  climbing Chandlers with all the humidity to deal with.

@ Wattsy , you're just soft ;) No just kidding mate, good effort planning to ride in, the conditions weren't conducive to riding north along the coast today. Bet Willunga was fun with a tailwind though.
