Something different to a normal Muddies cruise with lots of little jagged rises to test us out. If you want to gauge how you might go on a Dirty Dozen type of event, then this would equate to about one third of that.
Approx 1000m vertical over only 40km - all in close proximity to Cafe Rimini. Plenty of 15% gradients, but not really sustained for more than a few hundred metres each time.
There will be regroups at the top of most climbs with 'opt out' options on most hills if you need to give your legs a rest. The route will be taken at a casual pace with a TEC appointed in support.

Comment by Shane Sody on February 3, 2013 at 21:50 Adam was right - quality not quantity. There was only 2 of us, but we slayed those hills...
maybe the lack of 25%'ers scared some off? :-)

Comment by Peter Hill on February 1, 2013 at 20:54 sorry folks, apparently I didn't check the weekend running sheet. no ride for me tomorrow morning (unless I can hijack the hijack and might just get to Norton summit).
Sorry I am taking the wife out now, so wont be mini mountain climbing with you.
Comment by Adam Williss on February 1, 2013 at 15:43 I've done nothing since Tuesday either. Being jaded, tired and lazy is my excuse :)
Comment by Shane Sody on February 1, 2013 at 15:30 Ha! I have done nothing since Tuesday after injuring my back - I am hoping just to get through the morning :-(
Comment by Adam Williss on February 1, 2013 at 15:21 Shall be a small but determined group tomorrow!
I think we will be watching Shane smash out some strength training for the 3 Peaks and denting the strava leader boards while the rest of us enjoy some new local inclines.
Comment by Peter Hill on January 31, 2013 at 13:05 Matt, put some slicks on the MTB and drop it down to the granny! easy-peasy
