Event Description

A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.

Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).

Meet 7:30am for an 7:45am ride.

Park near the Almond Train (on the main road) in McLaren Vale next to the bike track.

This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.

There will be regular stops on this route, it's shorter than the normal L rides, but has more climbing.

Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.

We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.

If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.

All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.

All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Good on you Paul, that's what the L ride is for, getting newer riders involved. What have you done with James, is he driving the car?

I am going to bring Jenny along for the L ride, I will look after her, see how she goes for speed and distance, I would expect we might need to turn around a little early, but we can play it by ear as we go.  Her ride got canned for the morning and it would be nice to get her out and involved, we will be mindful of others enjoyment, so happy to wave you on if she is too slow and catch back up on your return leg / cafe.

Cool thanks Matt, will give it a go. What about Bourban? ;) And I'm not really keen to rely on supplements cause I don't want to depend on them!

Jolie, I tried Mg supplements and all sorts of things to sort out cramp, in the end, Diet Tonic water fixed it, just have a glass every couple of nights (no Gin allowed) and its seems to have gorn... :)

If Hubby doesn't go for his own ride and if my calf cramping issues calm down (right leg is in a bit of pain at the mo!), I'll be there!
