A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.
Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).
Starts and finishes in McLaren Vale at the Almond Train (next to the bike track).
This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.
There will be regular stops to regroup on what will be a gently undulating track.
Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.
We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.
Meet for a rider briefing at 7.30am for a 7.45am start.
If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.
All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.
All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Comment by Steven Ellison on July 21, 2012 at 17:43 It was a good ride had by all, I believe, at least that is what all said ;-) I thought it was well paced LOL It was great to see Michelle & Michelle, Trevor, Jolie, Renata, MarkF and Brett join us. Its always nice to see so many new faces and not a single Matt in sight!
Comment by Michelle Crick on July 21, 2012 at 16:45 Andrew - thank you so much for taking the L ride for us, glad so many turned out. I am now putting my feet up after my 130km ride with Paul :-)

Comment by Phil Crick on July 20, 2012 at 8:51 Michelle and I are both out for this one so behave yourselves whilst we are away!
We've got some new riders on this ride so look after them and keep to the average speed guidelines - don't leave them behind!
