Event Description

The inaugural ACVS ride will be an opportunity to get those with classic frames out of the shed/off the wall mount and out on the road. Just a casual ride of 25kph. Generally frames 1985 or older. Groupset, wheels and dress - no particular rules.

Will also be an opportunity to discuss the highlights and events of the TDU over a coffee after the ride.

Just a simple one to start - 

7.50 Meet at Pure Boutique Coffee

8.00 Head off to Semaphore and back

9.30-10 Meet back at Pure for a coffee and a chat

It's hardly a classic road bike but it is 70s and it is steel.

Will probably make it, but not too sure about the early start time - the bike is capable, the older (non-steel) body may not be.

Ride an early eighties Vitus 979 ....aluminium but Sean Kelly spent a good portion of his career racing these. Even have an old KAS jersey :) The bikes groupset is solely Mavic complete with down tube shifters....

I'll try and fit it in the calendar, if not this one then hopefully the next.

Ive got a 1982 or so Ricardo Elite frame for sale. I think it's about 55cm with Shimano 600 with the ornate engravings in it. Ukai wheels. Not sure of price.

i will see about getting my grandparents 1930 bike on the road i think it just needs air in the tyres it has not been used for a few years now but has been kept in the shed
