I'll be interstate this Sunday, therefore we will discuss a route during the ride on the 24th that I'll post here. This is just a 'place-holder' for now :-)
Will plan re-group spots and will have dedicated TECs that ensure no one is left behind. The regroup spots allow everyone to go at their own pace - never pressure on the slower riders.
We will be following the guidelines outlined in the .pdf here: http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/group/gully-grinders-north-east-cyclists/page/gully-grinders-group-ride-guidelines
This is a social group ride, all are welcome to join. Please RSVP on this event page.

Comment by Nigel "Griffo" Griffiths on June 29, 2012 at 19:32 Part of my goals that I set with my "lifestyle worker" was to go for 2 group rides in a month. Now that there are only 3 weeks left and one will be spent with kids, I'd better get on my bike and join a ride. See you Sunday morning.
Comment by Carl Neadley on June 29, 2012 at 19:05 I said that I would report back on the roadworks.........there aren't any. Not that it makes any difference now that a route has been decided. If I ride (yes I'm still a "may attend" - due to the weather forecast) I'll meet up with you in Salisbury and save myself the usual slog up the mountain.
Comment by Roger ... on June 29, 2012 at 16:31 thanks Gemma!
In the spirit of good internet, the route was mostly being discussed by people that aren't sure if they could commit to even RSVP to ride.
So we are riding to Gawler and will ride the Stewart O'Grady Bikeway complete in one direction.
If it's wet you can safely consider riding your heaviest bike with the rotten groupo and even mudguards and wont have to fear lugging it up too many big hills.
Comment by Gemma B on June 29, 2012 at 16:06 Hi Guys,
I've been asked to put up a map for the route on Sunday. Since I will not be riding the route on Sunday, I feel a little weird saying "you should ride here" that's why I left it up to those who would be riding. That said, I think whichever route is being discussed at the moment, they are all tending towards being a nice flat ride. The URL listed is for the SOG, but of course feel free on Sunday morning to discuss among yourselves, or make it up as you go along - but overall have a fun and safe ride and I'll see you all next week for some hills :-)
It's going to be wet and wifey has finished her exams, so we're spending some quality family time at the art gallery, apparently. Hoping for a dry one next week. I've forgotten what most of you look like ;)
Comment by Carl Neadley on June 28, 2012 at 22:49 A note on road-works - Cross Keys/Kings Rd intersection had work commence today - I'll check it out tomorrow to see whether it will be a problem.
