MEET YOUR PERSONAL CHALLENGE
The fourth and second to last challenge in our Grand Slam Challenge Series will take riders to Williamstown for two 75km/150km ride options on 5 August 2012.
This is the last ride before the grand finale on 21 October at Littlehampton where riders tackle the big 100/200km options.
The Grand Slam series rides are part of Bike SA's comprehensive year round calendar of rides, all of which are fully supported ensuring a safe, stress free ride for everyone. The rides get more difficult the further you get into the series - you can workup to the more difficult rides and share in a bit of friendly competition with your mates.
"The Grand Slams are great and well organised. This will be my second year. It's a great way to keep in shape throughout the year and achieve your own goals" (Tim - after completeing the first two rides of the Grand Slam rides in 2009.

Bad luck Pete! We will be thinking of you, as we ride through the rain and wind, and wonder why we aren't home sitting next to the fire too. But maybe the forecast has improved since Wednesday with a bit of luck. Take it easy.Be careful. Backs can take a while to come good.
Comment by Pete Roberts on August 3, 2012 at 22:53 Very painful decision to pull out of this weekends ride.
I have stuffed my back, and will have to ride this route in a week or two when my back has settled down again.
Most disappointed :(
Hi Scott, I am going up Yorketown Road and over the hill between One Tree Hill and Kersbrook. Just found out that we are supposed to register between 7.45 and 8.00am. So I might even leave a bit earlier than 6.00am from Elizabeth so I am not worrying about getting there late. Which way are you going. I will send you a PM.
well i am leaving from wingfield at 5.30 might see you on the road what way are you getting there
Sorry, I meant Pete - Pete R.
Anyone planning on riding up from Elizabeth? Maybe we could leave together, around 6.00am or there-a-bouts? Peter, Michael W, . . .Good training for the Grand Slam 200!
yes it is a well ran series i have only done the one ride this year due to being busy on the others.I will be doing gs 4 and 5 hopefully not too wet sunday
Comment by Graeme Weatherill on July 30, 2012 at 13:43 After moving to NSW just before GS5 last year - and coming back to SA to finish the series, I am stoked to wind up back in SA on Friday for work. I'll be staying fror the weekend and doing the 150Ks whatever the weather. Thoroughly looking forward to it - bike now stripped and packed for transit!! The series last year was brilliantly organised, and for me it took moving interstate to realise just how much better Bike SA operate than some of their interstate counterparts. Great Job Bike SA!! (No disrespect to Bike Victoria here - Their 3 Peaks organisation was top-nop notch this year as well)
Comment by Rob (Chewbacca) on July 30, 2012 at 10:11 I am doing 150km, hopefully the rain stays away but either way I will complete it.
