Ride Details
The route is predominately a beginner hill climber's ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride follows the Stuart O'Grady Bikeway (SOB) until the intersection with Curtis Rd.
The route then passes through Muno Para, Blakeview and eventually Craigmore via Adams Rd, where the first long steady climb starts on Yorktown Rd. The climbing continues with a left turn onto Black Top Rd which leads to the township of One Tree Hill.
The visit to One Tree Hill is only fleeting as a left turn onto Cornishmans Hill Rd starts the climbing again, eventually reaching The Gawler-One Tree Hill Rd via a short section of Uley Rd.
A left turn onto Kentish Rd begins the final downhill run into Gawler which completes the ride.
IMPORTANT
The Gawler Wheelers Group Ride Guidelines and Group Ride Recommendations must be read prior to attending a Group Ride Event.

Sorry all, need to bail out on this one as last bit of moving to new factory needs to be done before Sunday night.
Have fun.

Hi everyone. Gawler weather forecast for Saturday morning below fyi. Looks like the cold-front will have moved on and riding conditions should be near perfect. There may be a slight drop of moisture teasing us so come prepared. Please also note:
1. Post-ride gathering will be at the Sunrise Bakery again...they have been advised.
2. Check your tyres for wear and correct pressure.
3. Please ensure you have Emergency ID contact details with you on all rides
4. Everyone is welcome including newbies. Only two sleeps to go....see you there!

Comment by Gary Mills on September 2, 2012 at 11:59 Thankfully the AFL scheduled next week's match later in the afternoon so I'll be there. Just back from a quick spin up Norton Summit so I'm ready for the hills.

Comment by Lee Bakes on September 1, 2012 at 18:57 I would rather a hard ride than no ride at all!
Comment by terry heney on September 1, 2012 at 18:53 @Lee.. hmm yer not the best for you :( but atleast you have done the route before and know how easy it is :) Couple of hard smashing training rides during the week and you will fly up Cornishman...
