Ride Details

The route is predominately a beginner hill climber's ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.

After leaving Gawler, the ride follows the Stuart O'Grady Bikeway (SOB) until the intersection with Curtis Rd.

The route then passes through Muno Para, Blakeview and eventually Craigmore via Adams Rd, where the first long steady climb starts on Yorktown Rd. The climbing continues with a left turn onto Black Top Rd which leads to the township of One Tree Hill.

The visit to One Tree Hill is only fleeting as a left turn onto Cornishmans Hill Rd starts the climbing again, eventually reaching The Gawler-One Tree Hill Rd via a short section of Uley Rd.

A left turn onto Kentish Rd begins the final downhill run into Gawler which completes the ride.

IMPORTANT
The Gawler Wheelers Group Ride Guidelines and Group Ride Recommendations must be read prior to attending a Group Ride Event.

Ride Day/Time local weather forecast update as at Thursday 5.00pm

Hi all. See below for the Gawler weather forecast for Sat. Looking relatively favourable again this weekend. There may be a spot of moisture around the hills so please come prepared, although there does not appear to be much in it. Wind will not be a factor by the looks.

A reminder to check your tyres for wear, correct pressure etc before each ride.

Don't forget to set the alarm. Only two sleeps to go....look forward to seeing you on Saturday. Cheers.

I'm going to be forced to host my own Gawler Wheelers ride in QLD... I promised Frank that there will be photos.
