Ride Details The route is predominately a beginner hill climber's ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride follows the Stuart O'Grady Bikeway (SOB) until the intersection with Curtis Rd.
The route then passes through Muno Para, Blakeview and eventually Craigmore via Adams Rd, where the first long steady climb starts on Yorktown Rd. The climbing continues with a left turn onto Black Top Rd which leads to the township of One Tree Hill.
The visit to One Tree Hill is only fleeting as a left turn onto Cornishmans Hill Rd starts the climbing again, eventually reaching The Gawler-One Tree Hill Rd via a short section of Uley Rd.
A left turn onto Kentish Rd begins the final downhill run into Gawler which completes the ride.

Comment by Old Macdonald (Jon) on May 12, 2012 at 11:51 Woke up really early and decided that this ride was to short so did One Tree Hill Kersbrook Williamstown Galwer home route for 85 kms. Sorry I missed you all.
Comment by terry heney on May 11, 2012 at 20:16 @ Andrew.. front or back of the pack it doesn't matter... what does matter is to enjoy the ride.. :) AFTER the PAIN lol...
Comment by Juz on May 11, 2012 at 19:48 Fantastic Caroline!! I'm so so stoked you're having a go at this one! (I hope your party goes well this evening!)
Comment by Andrew Jacks on May 11, 2012 at 19:47 OK, I have just inflated the tyres.
Looking forward to the ride as it will be my first one since January, so will be at the back of the pack :)
Comment by terry heney on May 11, 2012 at 19:00 @ Lorraine... have your camera? Congrats on all of your firsts.. or anniversary's for tomorrow :) catch you tomorrow.
@ Lyndelle...atleast you can spin... see you tomorrow..
@ Caroline... Good luck..hope you can achieve your goal :)
I'm coming... HOWEVER... Chris will look after me as my personal TEC. I don't want anyone waiting for me at the regroups. This is going to be a real endurance test for me and I'm going to be horrendously slow... but I'm gonna have a go :o) I'll see you afterwards at Jaspers if we get back before you all head off to the rest of your Saturday :o)
Comment by Lyndelle Barry on May 11, 2012 at 17:28 I've got 3 things to celebrate tomorrow:
My 21st ...... (ride with Gawler Wheelers)
My 1st Anniversary (of riding with Gawler Wheelers)

Big day tomorrow!
