Going to give this one a miss.  Don't fancy riding up and down hills on a wet surface.  Might go on a ride somewhere else.

Not really sure, but I think Frank likes to ride on his own, without hanger's on.  After trying the drafting game over the last five or six weeks I am now trying to 'go it alone'. Like when I first joined the GW grop. Last night I did the SOB by myself, with the others going on ahead in a drafting formation. I found it much more enjoyable than drafting. It's bad enough that we put our lives in the hands of complete strangers (the car and truck drivers) without having the worry of one of our mates up ahead coming unstuck and us riding over the top of them, or trying to swerve to avoid them. Maybe into the line of a passing car, . . .

Sorry, getting a bit 'heavy' here. But maybe food for thought for others. Anyway I still had fun without drafting, pushing my little heart along pretty well. It sat on 138bpm for most of the 45km - which is fairly high for me. I think that is a good thing? If I was drafting it would have been some-whatless I think. And at least that freed them up to ride at their own, faster, preferred speed.

Didn''t arrive too far behind the drafting group I was told. Averaged 28.5 for the round trip which I was happy with, given the conditions.

@John...Oh well that will be great if you turn up John...weather permitting ofcourse...So now Frank will have the two of us on his rear wheel to BUG him :)   Falcons are cheaper due to being FOULCANS.... oops sorry Ford lovers...

@Terry Might be there after all with a bit of luck. He rang up last night saying he found an AU Falcon ( I hate Falcons, but he loves 'em ). LPG, only 85,000km, only $3000. Falcons always cheaper than Commodores I have noticed. I wonder why lol.
