This is the Gawler Wheelers 'Full Moon Ride' (94% Full Moon).

The Gawler Wheelers 'First Anniversary Ride' will also be ridden on 10-Mar-2012, but it will start at 7:30am.

Ride Details
A flat ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.

After leaving Gawler, the ride takes in the full 23 km Stuart O'Grady Bikeway (SOB) alongside the Northern Expressway.

The ride exits the southern end of the SOB and takes a combination of back roads including Mill Rd, Greyhound Rd and Mumford Rd until a left turn onto Heaslip Rd. Heaslip Rd is only ridden for a short distance before a right turn onto Edinburgh Rd takes the route through the Edinburgh Precinct, passing DSTO and the Edinburgh RAAF Base.

A right turn at Bellchambers Rd leads to Peachey Rd which is ridden until its intersection with Curtis Rd where another right turn is made. A left turn onto Douglas Drive leads to Coventry Rd which returns to Gawler.

Special Note

The Café will not be open at the conclusion of the group ride, so the coffee stop will be En Route at the 24HR 'On The Run' along Peachey Rd.
This is a night ride and as such your bike will need to be equipped with both front and rear lights. Appropriate night riding attire, such as fluoro vests, is also highly recommended.
