Ride Details
A hill climbers ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride joins onto the Gawler Bypass before linking up with the Gawler-Kapunda Rd. A right turn at Roseworthy Rd leads to a short section of the Sturt Highway before the undulations of Gomersal Rd continue the ride towards Tanunda.
A left turn at the end of Gomersal Rd leads to the picturesque entrance of Tanunda where Murray St is ridden through the town centre and continues along the Barossa Valley Way towards Nuriootpa. A right turn on South Tce followed by a left turn onto The Crescent, leads to the start of the 6.5 km Nuriootpa to Angaston Bike Path.
The Bike Path eventually reaches Washington St in Angaston where a left turn connects with Sturt St and leads to Murray St. A loop of Angaston's town centre via a combination of Murray St , North St, Dean St, Sturt St (once again) and Fife St leads back to Washington St.
Exiting Angaston via Washington St continues the route until a left turn at Radford Rd starts the sharp climb up Menglers Hill Rd, which is followed by the fast descent to Light Pass Rd where another left turn is made. Light Pass Rd becomes Bethany Rd, which is then ridden until the return to the Barossa Valley Way is complete.
The Barossa Valley Way begins the return journey, passing through Lyndoch and Sandy Creek and eventually reaching Gawler.

Should be a fantastic morning riding through the beautiful Barossa Valley. Take your pick from the two GW rides. All welcome...don't worry if you have not been on a GW ride before...just turn up by 7.10am and we will do the rest.
Only two sleeps to go...C U THERE!
