Ride Details
The route is predominately a beginner hill climber's ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride follows the Barossa Valley Way passing through Sandy Creek and Lyndoch. The ride continues on to picturesque Williamstown, via Lyndoch Valley Rd, where it will be possible to have a short break.
The ride continues with a left turn onto Mount Crawford Rd, from Williamstown's main street, which soon becomes Warren Rd, climbing gradually upwards towards Warren Reservoir. Once the peak is reached the route is reversed, with a fast downhill run back to Williamstown's main street.
Leaving Williamstown via Yettie Rd, the route then continues onto Balmoral Rd and Calton Rd before the final downhill run to Gawler.
IMPORTANT
The Gawler Wheelers Group Ride Guidelines and Group Ride Recommendations must be read prior to attending a Group Ride Event.

Yes, there will be riders regardless of the weather.
However looking at the predictions at the moment most of the rain should have passed late tonight.
Comment by Haydn Martin on September 28, 2012 at 22:56 Do you guys ride regardless of weather conditions?. I'm looking at coming from Kadina to ride in the morning. Have only really been riding this year, and as there are no hills round here wanted to try some hilly stuff.
Comment by Peter Bond on September 28, 2012 at 22:28 Frank - its windy and raining again. What have you done with this weather?
I bet Juz washed her hair again. (hope your knee gets better).

Comment by terry heney on September 28, 2012 at 18:45 If it's windy as hell I gotta find me some one big to hide behind :)

Comment by Juz on September 28, 2012 at 11:07 :-( I'm going to have to give this week a miss. My knee is still not good - taking it easy last week wasn't enough to let it heal so I'm going to take the ordinary weather (and my new haircut) to be signs that I shouldn't ride. Need to save my knees for future, spectacular riding adventures!
I'll hopefully make it out to Farina's for coffee with you all after the ride :-)
Now I'm going to go and sulk a little. I hate not riding.
