Comment by Juz Shacklady on February 10, 2012 at 18:44 I'm thinking of bringing a lead-lined vest for J.B to wear... He'll be safe from X-rays and we'll have a chance of not losing him over the horizon. :-P
Comment by Frank (GW) on February 10, 2012 at 18:12 J.B....just want to make sure that I have heard this corrrectly...did you say ..."I intend to take it very easy"? Didn't know those words were in your vocab! If so we will hold you to that!!! You and Dale can give encouragement, guidance and tips to some of the newbies like Andrew tomorrow!! C U all in 12 hours!! Be there or be ...
I've got a mtb race on sunday so am thinking of doing the flat ride tomorrow, if I ride at all. Don't worry Dale, I intend to take it very very easy. Really I do.
i have just played with the bike changing seat hight and angle, cleat position and flipped the stem up the other way so i sit up taller. did a 5km ride and absolutely no hassals (other than cars). ill be there tomorrow morning. cant wait!!
Great effort Andrew, some good advice there from Juz, if not tomorrow there's plenty more Saturdays to come.
thanks juz. i broke my arm riding motocross. on a set of whoops doing about 80 kph. landed on my elbow. it basically disintergrated my humerous and elbow. and 5 smaller breaks in my radius and ulna. i also dislocated both shoulders and my left wrist.
i did just do a 15 km ride to the local bike shop. arm wasnt too much of a hassal but my butt is feeling it. im gonna tweak my seat and go for a quick spin later to see how it goes. hopefully i will be there in the morning.
