Ride Details
A flat ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride briefly enters the Stuart O`Grady Bikeway (SOB) until the intersection with the Gawler-Two Wells Rd.
The ride exits the SOB and follows the Gawler-Two Wells Rd all the way to the township of Two Wells. After a brief stop in Two Wells, the route tracks along Hayman Rd passing the many horse properties in Lewiston, until Boundry Rd is reached where a right turn is made.
A combination of Boundry Rd, Gawler River Rd and Heaslip Rd eventually link up with Angle Vale Rd which leads back to the SOB and the return to Gawler.
IMPORTANT
The Gawler Wheelers Group Ride Guidelines and Group Ride Recommendations must be read prior to attending a Group Ride Event.

Comment by Juz on July 13, 2012 at 18:43 While the hills route looks far more enticing, this flat route is looking more and more likely for me tomorrow. The weather is looking ordinary so I'm not keen on the hills and I'm going to be riding the AC #3 winter ride on Sunday so the kms don't bother me. Not to mention, I'm thoroughly abusing myself with my new gym membership so my everything hurts at the moment.
Comment by terry heney on July 13, 2012 at 16:51 @Dale.... WHAT THE ??? 35 ? bit slow mate.. I be TEC and still be doing 38's LMAO
Comment by Frank (GW) on July 13, 2012 at 16:10 Dale, if you do the flat ride you should start half an hour after everyone else...you would still be first back!!
Comment by Dale (rouleur) Riggs on July 13, 2012 at 15:58 Terry, if it's dry, I'll be pulling the train on this one, so we'll average about 35 I reckon. LOL
Comment by terry heney on July 13, 2012 at 15:37 @Scott.. seriously cant see why gaffa cant be use for the SHORT term...couple of layers would suffice me finks.. also put talc power over the top to restrict any sticky part of tape adhering to tube..My father back in the old days use to adjust his pokes and any end bits sticking through the tube area he use to just file down..but I am no expert lol..
I'm fine Scott thanks.. I think lmao :) :)
Comment by Scott Davis on July 13, 2012 at 15:31 Good question Terry. I might have a look at that too. I was also wondering if I could get away with using gaffa tape or something along just that part of the rim to protect the tube. Do you know?
Good to see you are recovering from your scare last weekend.
Comment by terry heney on July 13, 2012 at 15:16 @Scott... is it possible to file those spoke ends down a bit before placing rim tape over them ?
