Ride Details
A flat ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride takes in the full 23 km Stuart O'Grady Bikeway (SOB) alongside the Northern Expressway.
The ride exits the southern end of the SOB and takes a combination of back roads including Mill Rd, Greyhound Rd and Mumford Rd until a left turn onto Heaslip Rd. Heaslip Rd is only ridden for a short distance before a right turn onto Edinburgh Rd takes the route through the Edinburgh Precinct, passing DSTO and the Edinburgh RAAF Base.
A left turn at Bellchambers Rd leads to Andrews Rd before re-entering the SOB via the Petherton Rd gate and returning to Gawler.

Comment by terry heney on June 12, 2012 at 21:23 @Carl... same here mate...If no show Sat then might try to sit on your tail up Anstey's Hill on Sunday :) Been up it once about 4 weeks ago..
Comment by Carl Neadley on June 12, 2012 at 21:01 Isn't it wonderful to have so much encouragement.........the forecast I saw just before commenting previously had 90% chance t/storms with 30+kph winds (and I was not looking at the Perth forecast!). Looks like they've toned the forecast down a bit. I'm still not sure whether I'll make it - it will probably be a last minute decision either way.
Comment by Peter Bond on June 11, 2012 at 18:07 i think the weather forecast will probably change by then - hope to see you all again for more fun and games.
Comment by terry heney on June 11, 2012 at 17:10 @Carl... no hold on a sec Carl my WIFE might need you out there LMAO!!! to help her out....
Comment by Lee Bakes on June 11, 2012 at 17:05 Might have to freeze the drink bottles and carry extra water for this one. Did someone say "heatwave"?
Comment by terry heney on June 11, 2012 at 17:04 @ Carl.. WHAT THE ???? you have to turn up Carl I need you out there LMAO..
@Frank...it's going to be soooo hot in the morning that I might boycott the ride due to high temperatures....Sorry Frank but I just refuse to ride in those heat conditions :)
Comment by Frank (GW) on June 11, 2012 at 16:39 Now now Carl ! What are you going to do without your Sat morning hit??? Below is the latest weather forecast. Does not look like much moisture. Look at the temp though...minimum of 9......that's hot compared to last Sat!! Might just wear knicks and sleveless jersey! Have called Jaspers and told them to buy more beer for Sat!
