Ride Details
A flat ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride takes in the full 23 km Stuart O'Grady Bikeway (SOB) alongside the Northern Expressway.
The ride exits the southern end of the SOB and takes a combination of back roads including Mill Rd, Greyhound Rd and Mumford Rd until a left turn onto Heaslip Rd. Heaslip Rd is only ridden for a short distance before a right turn onto Edinburgh Rd takes the route through the Edinburgh Precinct, passing DSTO and the Edinburgh RAAF Base.
A left turn at Bellchambers Rd leads to Andrews Rd before re-entering the SOB via the Petherton Road gate and returning to Gawler.
IMPORTANT
The Gawler Wheelers Group Ride Guidelines and Group Ride Recommendations must be read prior to attending a Group Ride Event.

Comment by Pete Roberts on March 9, 2012 at 21:25 Oh I only answered half of your question.
Take a look at Keith's route map HERE. This should a fine route at 6 am...
Comment by Pete Roberts on March 9, 2012 at 21:22 @ Dean,
I have just checked Keith Davies last ride on Strava, and he also lives in Parafield.
He took exactly an hour to get to Jaspers last week.
Hope that helps...
Comment by Dean Malden on March 9, 2012 at 21:13 If i was to ride from Parafield to Gawler what would the best way be and what time shall it take?
Comment by terry heney on March 9, 2012 at 20:58 Probably wont be any head wind at all at 8ish am...on the SOB..
Evening ride if how the weather has been soo far over the past two evenings will be fantastic.. no wind to speak of at all and I live on Peachey Road
Comment by Patrick O'Kane on March 9, 2012 at 18:51 Organise a paceline so I can hide in the pack.
What a tailwind on the SOB, you must be joking. Headwind going out and headwind coming back, some things never change.
Comment by Pete Roberts on March 9, 2012 at 18:48 Tail wind on the return !
Comment by Patrick O'Kane on March 9, 2012 at 18:45 SE? is that a headwind or a tailwind coming back?
