Comment by Paul Rushton on July 9, 2012 at 11:31 Great ride yesterday, the climbs to Crafers made much less painful with the great Mt Barker Rd downhill run all the way back to Milanos Cafe. I needed that coffee when we got there.

Comment by Julian Sargeant on July 7, 2012 at 15:08 Good recommendation Paul - though Sheoak is a killer in the 20%+ section. Once past that (perhaps most would walk it as I have done many times!), it should be happier days.
Finally, I won't be out due to a head cold that I'm trying to shake.
Comment by Paul Rushton on July 6, 2012 at 10:20 Have you guys ridden Upper Sturt Rd before? The part after the golf course to Olave Rd is very narrow and twisty. Can I suggest turning into the park at the main entrance and riding along The Valley Rd to Saddle Hill Rd to Sheoak Rd (after the really steep part) meeting with Waverly Ridge Rd. It does still have some good hills and is a bit safer.
Comment by scott kenelley on July 5, 2012 at 19:10 Nothing too serious Roger , you should be fine.
Comment by Roger Gurr on July 4, 2012 at 21:20 Not sure about the gradients but ready to give it a go!
