This is a nice short ride that you can bring your kids on.
Kids are welcome to ride either on their own bike, in a trailer or even on a tag-along bike.
The ride starts from Seaford Rise Primary school car park on Barbados Drive. Safe drop off for the kids before we enter the trail.
Arrive at the trail any time after 1pm for an 1.20pm ride briefing and a 1.30pm departure. Will aim to get away promptly
The ride follows the bike path to McLaren Vale visitor centre for coffee and a play
The track is flat and easy to navigate and slight up hill on the return leg
The halfway point will be McLaren Vale playground at McLaren visitor centre. Would not normally suggest this type of route but want to get the kids down part of the bike trail in preparation for Amy's ride the week after.
All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike (including mountain bike) and an approved helmet are welcome. It is advised that you ensure that your bikes and/or trailers, tag-alongs are in good working order prior to the day of the ride.
All adult riders ride at their own risk and are deemed responsible for any and all of the children they bring to the ride. It is advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Comment by Richard on October 28, 2012 at 11:29 Sorry for the late notice but we have to pull out - Jan's hurt her back, not badly but riding a treddly isn't a good move so it's off to the wooden playground at Noarlunga for a sit and chat while the lass goes silly with the other kids.
Have fun on the ride, brown snakes and all.

Comment by Graham King on October 28, 2012 at 10:57 Hey guys just be careful on the track between Seaford & McLaren Vale as there was a brown snake on there today. It was moving across the track but they are out there.

James has come down with a tummy bug, fingers crossed he gets over it tomorrow.
