Sedan to Keyneton. Why there was no payoff on the way down over the hill. Overall a great Day, thanks to the helpers of Cycle SA, fellow bikers met on the way, Colin, Brendon and Keith, thanks for your advice and encouragement. - 4hrs for the first loop, 9hrs total (including lunch and stops). "Living the dream, it doesn't get any better than this!"

Comment by Patrick O'Kane on September 27, 2011 at 0:11 Good luck Pete and Keith (and everyone else doing the full series). I set a couple of targets this year, the slams being one, 6666kms this year kms being the other. I'm on target to complete both which astounds me as 18 months ago a 20km round trip seemed like a long way. Motivation from this site and it's members is a large part of why I love cycling, it'll be a good feeling doing this ride with all the other AC riders.
Comment by Pete Roberts on September 26, 2011 at 23:33 Good Luck Keith ! Hope to see you out there on GS#5.
This will be my first year of Grand Slams too. I am getting quite excited with the prospect that I may just complete all five rides, and to top it off I'll be riding a new bike for GS#5 :)
For me, this series has been just the motivation I've needed to keep me training all winter, & now I'm feeling fit & ready for anything. Even a 201-km ride in the Hills ....
Good luck everyone, and stay safe :)
