An undulating ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.
After leaving Gawler, the ride joins onto the Gawler Bypass before linking up with the Gawler-Kapunda Rd. A right turn at Roseworthy Rd leads to a short section of the Sturt Highway before the undulations of Gomersal Rd continue the ride towards Tanunda.
The Barossa Valley Way begins the return journey, passing through Lyndoch and Sandy Creek and eventually reaching Gawler

Comment by Carl Neadley on July 20, 2012 at 7:48 John, wake up!. John! John! WAKE UP!! Must be a nasty dream you're having.....
Looks like I am going to have a go at a long ride on Sunday. One of those Audax rides. I was just going to do the middle distance choice of three - 150km. But it seems the other 5 riders are all doing the 200km. Its going from Modbury up to Tanunda (via One Tree Hill and Kersbrook . . . ), Nuri, Angaston, Sedan, Mannum and back to Modbury. So I have 'bit the bullet' and will try the longer one!
Anyone else interesed? Good training for the Bupa ride.
Whether I get back in the required time will be the question. Or whether I get back at all for that matter. So enjoy your 'back-to-front' Gomersal road people. Might see you after the ride because I think I will need to get a pair of those bib knicks from Wilson, if he has a pair that fits.

Hi all. Below is the latest local weather forecast for ride time. As good as it gets for this time of the year folks....so come out and experience a great ride through the Barossa Valley with us. If you have not been on a GW ride before just arrive by 7.10, ask for Frank or Wilson and we will take care of the rest...easy peasy!
Only two sleeps to go....look forward to seeing YOU there. Cheers.
Comment by Barry Norsworthy on July 19, 2012 at 13:30 Perhaps we should make the stop at Tanunda at the toilets on the main street rather than at the end of Gomersal Road before the trip back?
This is a good route apart from crossing the Sturt Highway into Roseworthy Road. Need to be extra careful here!

Comment by Dave, Lewiston on July 16, 2012 at 22:10 @ Barry, Gormersal-in-reverse is a blast! Lots of downhill to look forward to.We did it on an unofficial GW ride over Xmas-New Year.
You'll be going so fast, you won't even recognise it!
Comment by Old Macdonald (Jon) on July 15, 2012 at 23:35 Lets see if I can make this one?
