JB, if you see this, I'm going to be off work early so if you want head off around 3:15 I'll meet you out on the SOB. Let me know via a reply - cheers.

Jeez, it is a small world. Bummer about the knee Andrew. Can you do any strength work in the gym?

Hey Pete, you'd think I had hooked up with Yoko Ono! Could be a lonely ride.

it was good to see you on the road last week JB -- I have also just discovered that your neice is Paula, who is my wife Heidi's close friend.  Small world!

Unfortunately I'm going to be out of action for a lot longer ... my knee was getting better but last week's riding has killed it again.

Looks like you have scared everyone off JB !

I'm back on the bike after a forced rest. Rode twice for the whole of june! Feeling very unfit.

I like doing the two SOB rides each week if all goes to plan. Good for my fitness levels, and keeps me off the roads. The way I see it I can risk my well being on Saturday's or Sunday's, dueling with the traffic, and cut the risks by doing the SOB a couple of times midweek, rather than one training ride on the SOB and the other on the road.

Mind you those road crossings on the SOB can be dangerous too! I was not concentrating the other day, chatting as usual, and came a bit too close for comfort when I crossed at the Gawler River road.

By sticking with the two, it caters for both the riders who only want to do one a week, as well as people like myself. And those that can only go out once have the choice of the two. As Mark said, if something prevents them form going out Tuesday say, whether it be weather, work, family, or health . . ., they get a another chance to do a group SOB on Thursday.

I also like to do my swimming thing on Wednesdays and Fridays, so I wouldn't be able to make it on Wednesdays.

I don't really see a problem with having a nominated day/time where there may or may not be company. Obviously it's nicer to have company and keeping together as a group but the nature of a small group is that there will be times when people can't make it and so it may turn into a solo ride.

I just think it makes it more of an anticipated ride, plus it doesn't make sense having 2 rides in 1 week if only 1 rider shows up!

Anyway, so long as it's impossible for the moment to nominate a day that suits everyone, I guess we'll just leave it as Tues/Thurs.  Unless anyone has any brainwaves?

You won't see me until August as I head to Europe on Monday. I was happy with either day. Andrew why do you want to drop one of the days? The obvious advantage of the two day per week scheme was that it allowed for one of them to be rained out.
