Ride Details
The route is predominately a beginner hill climber's ride starting in Gawler and finishing in Gawler.

After leaving Gawler, the ride follows the Barossa Valley Way passing through Sandy Creek and Lyndoch. The ride continues on to picturesque Williamstown, via Lyndoch Valley Rd, where it will be possible to have a short break.

The ride continues with a left turn onto Mount Crawford Rd, from Williamstown's main street, which soon becomes Warren Rd, climbing gradually upwards towards Warren Reservoir. Once the peak is reached the route is reversed, with a fast downhill run back to Williamstown's main street.

Leaving Williamstown via Yettie Rd, the route then continues onto Balmoral Rd and Calton Rd before the final downhill run to Gawler.

Won't be attending the ride, but will most likely come to Jaspers to watch you all depart.. shame i've been busy and haven't been able to do these rides due to soccer season. I will have my fundraiser tin with me hopefully to get some funds for the Amy Gillett foundation as i will be doing the Amy's Gran Fondo along the Great Ocean Road in September.. hoping some of the GW family will help me out, training is about to commence =) eeep! i will be wearing the GW jersey to spread the word and our great riding group to over 4000 people.

come on guys! let me know if you'd be happy to support me for this great cause. Need to show everyone what the GW group is made of.

         Brett.  :)

Hoping to be able to make it - this was my very first GW ride back in April and technically  I  didn't complete it due to the puncture faerie coming out to play just before the reservoir.  I'm really keen to see how I've improved in the last two months.
