Will plan re-group spots and will have dedicated TECs that ensure no one is left behind.  The regroup spots allow everyone to go at their own pace - never pressure on the slower riders.

We will be following the guidelines outlined in the .pdf here: http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/group/gully-grinders-north-east-cyclists/page/gully-grinders-group-ride-guidelines

This is a social group ride, all are welcome to join. Please RSVP on this event page.

you will do fine John. Although Ansteys is a proper hill the rest of the ride is just ridge riding with only a couple of small climbs.

Pete put the idea into my head last night on the SOB. Have heaps of 'stuff' to do this weekend, so thought I might tackle it tomorrow and go for a ride Sunday instead. I ticked the Will Attend box and then had a look at the route afterwards! Eeeeekkkk!!

I might need to volunteer as TEC I think!

Spewing! This route is so tempting but if I get out on the bike this Sunday, it'll be for the AC Winter ride. Have a fun one and I hope you like this route enough to do it again sometime when I can join you :-)

Looks like a great route. I'll be there if the weather is clement (currently looking wet :\)

Nice loop there Gemma, i'm up for the challenge. Few good strava segments too. I like the one that heads back into Houghon then meets back up with the main road after Houghton. Looks tough but nothing compares to Wynn Vale Drive. Lets hope to good weather as its now going to be wet for the rest of the week?? Grrrrr

Thanks Don, Andrew has also given us a 'heads-up' on this section - we'll send someone ahead on this section to slow everyone down and to keep eyes out for hoons so no nasty surprises.

Trying to organise a leave pass for Sunday morning...really want to get out and ride with the Gully Grinders - great name that!

Just watch out for Torrens Hill rd, it is a steep descent that finishes quickly at a t-junction with gorge rd.  Take it easy going down, especially if the road is wet!

I'm in. Looking forward to this one.

i've been thinking the exact same thing Pete, should get a few of the Gawler Wheelers out on a Gully grinder ride.. not me until the end of soccer season unfortunately, but i have driven past the Grinders a few times on the golden way.. but the hills seriously scare me :(
