The ride starts with the steep climb of Calton Rd followed by a right turn onto Balmoral Rd, before yet another right turn onto Williamstown Rd.
Williamstown Rd is only ridden for a short distance until a right turn onto Yettie Rd leads to the picturesque township of Williamstown, where it will be possible to have a short break.
Leaving Williamstown, via Lyndoch Valley Rd, directs the route towards Lyndoch which begins the return leg to Gawler, along the Barossa Valley Way, passing through Sandy Creek.
