Wednesdays 6am at the Tower Hotel
Ride to NS and on to Mt Lofty summit or Marble Hill or return as you want.
Mid week hump day recovery ride. No Strava segments will be beaten. Suits Norton Summit climbers (5.6kms) of 22 - 26mins.
Embrace winter! Learn to love the AM and have a glow of smugness for the rest of the day (while your feel thaw out) from your early morning achievement (getting out of bed) and for what you enjoyed - sunrise, koalas and your bike.
Must be up for a chat and have good lights.
This is planned to be weekly. In time drop your name in if you will be there. It just gives you more motivation when you know someone will be there waiting.
Please note this is not an organised ride, you should have insurance and this site and organiser accepts no responsibility for damage, injury or other.

I'll make the effort to get there next week for this. I'll leave the group at Ashton and head up to Mt Lofty before a freeway descent to tackle the traffic on Goodwood.
Comment by Gus K on May 9, 2012 at 11:16 Lovely 'warm' morning to be out with the added treat of thick fog on the mount. It certainly made it easier getting up knowing there were others waiting for me.
A nice relaxed ascent and a chat at the top (sorry Katie, I hope you got a PB) meant, as stated, no Strava segments were challenged. Wenqi, Katie and I went on to Marble Hill but the fog prevented me giving my guided tour commentary of the sights and were were taking it pretty slow on the wet and foggy descent before marvelling at the beauty that is Montacute Rd through Black Hill Coversvation Park.
If you can make the Tower Hotel at Magill for a 6am rollout please join us for a hump day recovery ride. I'll copy this event to next week and when we have come up with a good name, in the tradition of TMMLM or CFFFS I'll create a group for dropping your RSVP in on Tuesday... if you can't make Wednesday, or want to take it up a notch in pace, join in on aforementioned CFFRS on Friday or TMMLM on Tuesdays via Groups.
I considered riding this a little later than the main bunch and seeing them on the way down. I considered this so carefully that at 06.00 I decided it was worthy of further consideration and I am still considering it. It is my humble consideration (subject to further consideration) that you are all considerably bonkers.
Comment by Katie Hannan on May 9, 2012 at 10:50 For all those that want to come, it's not an arrive at 6, or 6:03 ride. It's a get there at 5:55 because the buggers leave at 6am ride. I have first hand experience of this. :p
Comment by CLP on May 9, 2012 at 10:33 enjoyed that this morning.. very relaxed pace going up, headlights cutting through the fog :) and fairly warm too!
Lovely ascent of NS this morning in the warm Autumn air/fog. Will remember to eat before the ride next week. Now I have that sense of achvievement/I need a large double shot latte feeling.
Comment by Michael Bland on May 9, 2012 at 6:35 Would love to be there , but I'll be sorting mail at the PO. 8~(
