Will plan re-group spots and will have dedicated TECs that ensure no one is left behind. The regroup spots allow everyone to go at their own pace - never pressure on the slower riders.
Just as a note to those that look at these rides but may be currently a little 'put off' by the hills. I am by no means a climber and are relatively new to cycling, but give everything a damned 'red hot go' and 'huff and puff' my way up the hills - albeit slowly. You will not be alone at the back, so come out and give it a 'crack' you might end up surprising yourself.
This is a social group ride, all are welcome to join. Please RSVP on this event page.
We will be following the guidelines outlined in the .pdf here: http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/group/gully-grinders-north-east-cyclists/page/gully-grinders-group-ride-guidelines

Comment by Gary Mills on April 29, 2012 at 9:05 Sorry, couldn't make it today. I'll try for next week. I'll be sending out emails to all group members today regarding the Gully Grinders jersey order.
Sorry but am not able to make it. Maybe next week. Hope you have a great ride - weather looks terrific.
Hoping to come - but have not been too well this week....
Should see you there at 7.45
Comment by Kylie Smith on April 28, 2012 at 13:54 Can't make it this week, got family stuff. Have fun :)
Comment by Gemma B on April 27, 2012 at 15:54 @Dean, sorry to hear it mate. Just spent a week off the bike myself so sadly know the frustration all too well. Hopefully a week now means all healed and that's it. Push it too early and it may drag on. See you soon.
@Jase, enjoy the morning jaunt up Nortons! See you out soon too!
I was hoping that this week would be my comeback ride but unfortunately my wife has to make a work-related phonecall at 10am, so I'll be getting up and doing a quick Norton Summit / Cherryville ride so I can distract the kids for her.
Hopefully next week ... much more of this absenteeism and I'll be considered a newbie again :\
Comment by Dean Malden on April 27, 2012 at 1:52 sorry guys but i'm off the bike for a week. sore leg hip groin? Not happy but hope to be back soon.
Comment by Carl Neadley on April 26, 2012 at 20:50 On the return leg, from St Kilda Rd head along Mumford Rd instead of Greyhound Rd. This will bring you out on Heaslip Rd. From here you can head along Heaslip to Diment Rd, or head along Waterloo Corner Rd to one of the roads that track back to Diment Rd (say Helps Rd, or Bolivar Rd). I was out riding this area yesterday and the roadworks coming back along Commercial Rd are not very nice; may be better to head from Diment into Bagster and back onto Waterloo Corner Rd - from there head back along Park Terrace and left into Fenden Rd? There are many possible minor variations - if you need to give me a call?
