A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.
Starts and finishes at the Port Noarlunga Institute car park (near Becks Bakery) at the always sunny Port Noarlunga.
Meet 7.45 for an 8am ride
Averaging around 20kph to 25kph depending on the group, can be slower if required.
This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.
There will be regular stops to regroup to ensure no one gets lost or left behind
We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.
If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.
All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.
All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Comment by Matt Jones on May 4, 2012 at 15:20 Rofl, Matt B has a roll of the Pink Hello Kitty version, uses it on everything.
Comment by Phil Crick on May 4, 2012 at 15:18 @Matt I could have been referring to this:
http://duckbrand.com/Products/duck-tape/duck-tape-patterns.aspx?IDH...
but I'm not sure that would be any good for patching up bikes
Comment by Matt Jones on May 4, 2012 at 15:16 I can TEC (given I'll be at the back anyway).
I also have a snazzy multi tool but thats about it.
btw its Duct tape.
Comment by Phil Crick on May 4, 2012 at 15:05 Any volunteers for lead or TEC - I can't do both, although I will do the write up unless anyone else desperately wants to do it.
I've been getting a few things together for these rides so if we encounter any problems we should be well prepared. So I know have a rather snazzy multi-tool complete with chain-breaker, I'll stick in some cable ties and duck tape and I've got hold of a survival blanket and first aid kit which we hopefully won't need.
I've also been chatting to Gus and Bike SA about liability insurance, more about this in a later post.
Comment by Trent on May 4, 2012 at 15:01 thinking about doing the CVSA training ride on sunday.
Comment by Shav Bird on May 4, 2012 at 14:34 I might show up for the start. Not sure if I'll do the whole ride.
Comment by Michelle Crick on May 4, 2012 at 14:30 As I am out most of Saturday, giving Phil a pass out to group ride so sorry you won't see me on the ride, but will be at Becks I'm sure :-)
Bike is ready, systems are go, pick it up Friday would of got it tomorrow but off to Melbourne for work. I can come for a poodle even if I dont do the whole loop, might try and come over Saturday morning to the coffee shop after the Muddies for a show and tell.
