Event Description

A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.

Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).

Starts and finishes at the Port Noarlunga Institute car park (near Becks Bakery) at the always sunny Port Noarlunga.

This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.

There will be regular stops to regroup on what will be a gently undulating track.

Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.

We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.

Meet for a rider briefing at 7.30am for a 7.45am start.

If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.

All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.

All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Hi Simon, I rode the route on Wednesday and I was also there on Sunday. Sunday was hard with the wind but if you do come tomorrow you will not be the last up the hills (as those that were there on Wednesday would attest) You will however be greatly encouraged no matter how fast/slow you may be.

Need need to say sorry Michelle.

@simon - reckon that wind on Sunday made that ride tougher than this loop. You will get looked after.

thanks to the family Crick. map now visible for me :)

cheers Paul. i may have kinda kept up, but it was only a 30km loop for me, rather than 60 for everyone else.

@Simon Wife claims mapmyride route is public - I can see it and I've not even got a mapmyride login!

Don't worry about the strava segments, yes you can have a go at them on the ride, but most of the best times will have been done under ideal conditions with the wind blowing the right way.

you will be fine Simon a couple of small climbs but they are a slight, steady gradient - you will be looked after.
