A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.
Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).
Starts and finishes at the Port Noarlunga Institute car park (near Becks Bakery) at the always sunny Port Noarlunga.
This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.
There will be regular stops to regroup on what will be a gently undulating track.
Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.
We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.
Meet for a rider briefing at 7.30am for a 7.45am start.
If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.
All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.
All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Comment by Michelle Crick on April 28, 2012 at 19:58 Simon rang me and all was good in the end.
Think the nofications thing has been going a bit mad today had lots of old notifcations today..
@Steve, Phil is nearly finished but kids have not given him a decent chance to finish it yet it's coming I promise and it will be worth the wait :-)
it was ok. i had a nice 13km ride to mclaren vale as it was. went faster than usual hoping to find people along the way. tht ride from mclaren vale to pt noarlunga was probably the highest avg speed ive done without wind assistance too.
Comment by Steven Ellison on April 28, 2012 at 17:33 Simon, looks like you missed them leaving Pt Noarlunga by only a few mins! Shame you missed the bulk of the ride :-(
Comment by Steven Ellison on April 28, 2012 at 17:32 OK, I thought there was a ride report from today, where is it? There seems to be a lot of activity on the Anzac ride but nothing here!
Go for it Simon, you will have a ball with this mob. I might try my comeback on an L ride in a fortnight and I can pretty much guarantee that you will outlast me!
i'll be there. see everyone at becks around 7.45. i'm making it easier and driving there at least!
I guess it depends on what you are used to! :-) They felt like hills to me, but then any slight incline does...
Comment by colin ware-lane on April 27, 2012 at 21:44 @ blake what hills? there are only short inclines on the l ride its an easy ride all the way
