A social group ride for riders new to the concept and fearing that they are 'too slow' for other group rides.
Averaging around 20kph (can be slower if need dictates).
Starts and finishes at the Port Noarlunga Institute car park (near Becks Bakery) at the always sunny Port Noarlunga.
This is not a training ride and a Tail End Charlie will be appointed so that no one will be left behind.
There will be regular stops to regroup on what will be a gently undulating track.
Main roads will be avoided wherever possible.
We will also have the opportunity of having a chat and buy a well earned (and almost mandatory) coffee and cake at the end.
Meet for a rider briefing at 7.45am for a 8.00am start.
If you have ever wanted to go on group rides, the most important thing is to GET STARTED.
All riders with a mechanically sound road or flat bar type bike and an approved helmet are welcome.
All riders ride at their own risk and are advised to have public liability insurance, and to carry emergency contact details.

Comment by Phil Crick on February 24, 2012 at 8:00 I can do it earlier, say 7.45 for 8.00 start if it suits people?
Comment by Matt Jones on February 24, 2012 at 7:52 Any chance of an earlier start on this given the weather predictions for Sunday ?
Got my flight details and should be able to squeeze this ride in at least! I'll try not to lose the pack this time! Lol
Comment by Michelle Crick on February 21, 2012 at 13:02 I'm the mad women on the MTB if you were wanting me to bite MattJ I just have lol.
The guys are very friendly Ruth and very supportive and it is great getting out with people to ride :-)
Comment by Phil Crick on February 21, 2012 at 12:39 Just bring yourself, bike and a water bottle, we generally regroup at Becks Bakehouse and refuel with cake afterwards. A spare inner tube may be useful, but it's usually Fish who gets punctures.
Comment by Ruth Chesters on February 21, 2012 at 12:35 Ha ha, thanks for the support, I will definitely be there on Sunday! Do I need to bring sugar hits like snakes? Sorry don't have the lycra either will just be shorts and t-shirt for me at this stage LOL
Comment by Matt Brennan on February 21, 2012 at 12:15 This is the ideal place to start Ruth!
No one gets left behind!.....well most of the time....I think it was just bad luck last week...they found him in the end though....
Comment by Phil Crick on February 21, 2012 at 12:11 you'll be fine, we stop to regroup regularly and there's always a designated rider who sits at the back to help you out. People turn up on all sorts of bikes, but the main requirement is that you enjoy it :-)
Comment by Matt Jones on February 21, 2012 at 11:50 There's a few others on Hybrids, even one crazy lady who rode on a MTB with knobbly tyres....... ;)
Comment by Ruth Chesters on February 21, 2012 at 11:27 Hi everyone, I was going to come on the ride last Saturday but chickened out, sorry but I am really nervous about the riding and being too slow. I also only have a fluid hybrid bike will that be ok to start out? Would love to hear from someone :-)
