On Sunday 18 March, we are closing over 35km of Adelaide Hills roads, including the South Eastern Freeway so you can ride it with your mates!
Ride the S.E. Freeway all the way through the Heysen Tunnel on the Mt Lofty Challenge and get sponsored for The Smith Family or enjoy the free Family Fun Ride around traffic-free streets in the city, for the inaugural Boileau VeloAdelaide.
Whether you chose to ride the Mt lofty Challenge or the free Family Fun Ride, everyone gets to enjoy the car-free Adelaide city streets, transformed into a bustling hub of activity with live music, DJs, kid's entertainment, demos, expos, food and drink. Plus lots of streetscape you can call your own.

Comment by Patrick O'Kane on March 4, 2012 at 17:47 It says the ride is free but you have to register online, I guess they7 need to know numbers etc.
Comment by RD6 on March 4, 2012 at 17:22 I am only attending the Family Fun ride, has anyone noticed that you have to register, if you look online its kind of misleading, can anyone check this for me
Comment by FraserMcQ on February 8, 2012 at 18:03 For those that get the Eastern Courier Messenger, you might have noticed at the back that Brett Aitken's is authoring a 6 week training program for new riders wanting to tackle the 50km loop - "A champ's guide". Not sure if this is covered in any of the other local papers, but great to see some main stream encouragement.
Look forward to this ride!

Looking forward to seeing a strava time to Lofty via the freeway vs the bollards
Comment by Graham Jaeschke on January 24, 2012 at 12:41 In training and also having fun getting sponsored for the ride. Great to see other riders fundraising for The Smith Family. Go to www.mountloftyfundraising.com.au for more information about going the extra mile. Regards, Graham Jaeschke, General Manager, The Smith Family.
Comment by Michelle Crick on January 21, 2012 at 16:15 Would dearly love to do this think it would be great but think might do the small section with the kids..
Comment by Pete Roberts on December 21, 2011 at 21:56 If you have a garmin with a Cadence sensor on the back wheel, then the sensor will take over until the Satellites are once again overhead.
Comment by Patrick O'Kane on December 14, 2011 at 19:22 How will the tunnels affect GPS signals and is there a Strava segment up for them yet.?
Comment by Wayne on December 14, 2011 at 19:19 A great chance to ride through the tunnels
