Event Description
Departs from Cafe Rimini at 07:30 and head to the Veloway for a descent to Darlngton. Climbing up Flagstaff Hill Rd and along Happy Valley Drive to Education Rd. Education Rd is a fairly steady climb until a short sharp pitch near the top that is close to 18%. From there it is largely downhill along Cox Hill Rd towards Hallett Cove. Route may be amended on the day due to road closures for the S.Exy duplication.
Regroup on Happy Valley Dr and top of Education.
50kms approx
Average pace 25-28kph.
Suitable for riders with reasonable fitness due to amount of climbing.
Regular regroups to ensure no one gets left behind, TEC will be appointed to stay with and encourage slower riders.
Meet at 07:15 for ride briefing.

The weather forecast is looking pretty bad. The last two weekends I've ended up riding in heavy (and very cold) rain. I can do it, but I'm still not keen on it. Sorry guys, another time!
