Earth Ride 2010

Earth Ride Adelaide 2010 is a FREE community event, held in conjunction with the global Earth Hour, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, including sustainable transport options and encouraging behavioural change among patrons.

Earth Ride - Adelaide 2010 Route:
Victoria Square > Gouger St, Morphett St > Whitmore Square > Sturt St, Halifax St > Hurtle Square > Poultney St > Hindmarsh Square > Grenfell St, Currie St > Light Square > Morphett St, Grote St > Victoria Square (with an after ride festival-like atmosphere)

The City North Messenger of 24-Mar-2010 on page 10 has an article on pending Earth Ride. Streets bordering the CBD's five squares will close for 90 minutes from 10.30am. The event, presented by Bicycle SA, will also feature a sustainability expo in Victoria Square with information stalls, bike demos, food and entertainment. The inaugural Adelaide ride is part of a global event and coincides with Earth Hour.

The organisers are planning a 'flashmob' event on the Friday before (26th of March). It'd be great if people could get involved.
