Comment by Andrew Dickson on April 17, 2012 at 15:13 The Adelaide City Council has a Bullit cargo bike for loan (see http://api.ning.com/files/hk6SVyIV9dfSNuvVip216wgHjhRmzHXmZXKZwHyIm...)
_We have arranged to borrow this cargo bike for the cargo bike picnic. Only issue: we need someone to pick it up on Sunday morning (from the Adelaide South West Community Centre, 171 Sturt Street) and return it on Monday morning.
_Anyone able to do this? You'll earn serious brownie points.

Comment by Sophia MacRae on April 7, 2012 at 11:36 But which cargo bike will I bring?
I ride a 16kg 1958 Raleigh Sports complete with rod brakes and chain case - hardly a cargo bike, although there were butcher's bike and sidecar versions. However, considering the bike has been carrying its various owners for 54 years, and should easily last another 50, I think that it's a true case of 're-cycling' and has done more than its bit for reducing consumption of fossil fuels etc. See you there.

Comment by heather on April 6, 2012 at 15:26 Will there be any child trailers? A S/H trailer a cheaper option than a cargo bike.
A BUG member who always cycled for transport bought a child seat and was really looking forward to cycling again. However, the add-on seat makes it impossible to cycle -- I have seen her ride so slowly with her hips moving awkwardly. I would like to invite her.

Comment by gordon on April 6, 2012 at 13:30 Thanks for organizing this..look foward to it.
My 1 tonne ute stays up my driveway and is only used when I need to transter my tools of trade between building sites ( and there are a lot of tools, not a namby pamby laptop and lunchbox ! ) there is very little I could do to reduce my cabon footprint, other than ride a steel bike, carbon frames are not recycle-able(?) so thanks for the invitation but I shall be out on my bike!!
