On Saturday 18 January 2014, Big Red Ride participants will ride along the picturesque seaside route from Glenelg to Outer Harbor and back to raise valuable funds for Muscular Dystrophy South Australia.
Participants will ride alongside Aussie cycling legend Bradley McGee.
The Big Red Ride is always a great way to kick start the cycling season, taking place the day before the start of the Tour Down Under.
With the introduction of a run, this years event will be bigger and better than ever.
Participants in the run can choose to run or walk 5km or 10km while enjoying spectacular seaside views. The run will feature a loop course separate to the ride course, which will also start and finish from Wigley Reserve, Glenelg.
You may have some friends and family who run, some who walk, and some who ride! That's OK, as all events start and finish from Wigley Reserve. However, to ensure safety and enjoyment for both ride and run participants, start times will be staggered. Course maps and start times available soon!
Muscular Dystrophy SA will create a fun, family friendly atmosphere on the day with a number of food stalls, great coffee from major sponsor Cibo and live entertainment.
By registering, donating to or raising money for Muscular Dystrophy SA you will make a difference to the lives of children and adults living with neuromuscular conditions. You can help them to live the full and active life they deserve.
