Event Description

Now June 17 - Adelaide Cyclists winter ride 2

Meet at 8am at Cibo CBD (cnr Rundle and Frome) or earlier if you want a coffee before and ride to Glenelg to pick up at the Buffalo at 8.30am then West Beach, Semaphore and Outer Harbour.

We will pause at the Buffalo to remember Gordon Boheme, the volunteer marshall who was killed a few weeks ago at Outer Harbour. Many might want to ride in his memorial peloton so we will get to Osbourne by 9.35 for the beginning of the memorial.

If you want to ride the 2 loops of the Outer Harbour course stay there or ride back to Semaphore for a coffee at the playground kiosk at Semaphore for coffee then ride back.

The pace will be a relaxed one. It's a chance to come out and meet other members and keep the winter chills away.

This is an unassisted social ride. You should have your own insurance, helmet and spares.

Comment by Julian Sargeant on June 17, 2012 at 13:52: Thanks to Gus and the warm welcome from the Adelaide Cyclists to the Gator Cycling bunch. We all really enjoyed meeting up and stretching our legs right through to Outer Harbour.

Lucky we all beat the rain which seems to have set in this arvo.

Also good to meet some more of you.. Trent, some Matts, some Pauls and see the winter jerseys out on the roads.

A repair crew was present on the way home about noon.

There may still be mud and silt around
