A Tale of Two Tours

We are on Superstars, and I am hoping for awesome weather again, maybe just a little dryer than the last time we did this! I figure the Par 3 car park will be an easy place to transport bikes to if you need to, with parking there or plenty on War Memorial Drive.

We can then gather in the open space by the weir, ready to roll out at 8:00am, or thereablouts! Remember this is Anzac Day, so there may be some traffic restrictions or congestion.

The first loop will be City to West Beach, where we will stop off for some awesome pancakes, then head back to the City. The second loop will be the City to Athelstone. Heading up to the hills is nice along the river, and some interesting views along the way.

A couple of ground rules though, this is a shared use path, so my preference is to keep the pace reasonable, and ensure we give respect to oncoming cyclists and pedestrians on the track. If you want to hammer it, either wait until we are sure the path is clear, or jump up on tp the road! I also like to give a warning to pedestrians rather than ride up and pass them, so will either use a bell, or give a shout! (This works, provided their iPods are not up too loud!)

Bring a roadworthy bike, wear a helmet, have your neccessary spares and bidons with you, and bring a sense of humour and an appetite! Cameras are optional, but I always carry one!

I ride all weather too, in fact there are times when I prefer to ride in the rain for some fun! I'll be there.
WBSLC confirmed earlier this week that they would be open from 8:30am for breakfast.

Sorry Clive, force of habit to abbreviate it. Jim is right, River Torrens Linear Park. It won't take us long to get from the City to West Beach, and it was nice coffee there.

Unfortunately my bike service has developed into an overhaul and unless an essential part arrives Friday I will not be able to attend

I'll be riding in from Parafield Gardens from about 7:00am, heading Salisbury Highway, Port Wakefield Road, Main North Road, King William, then RTLP. Big fat knobblys humming all the way if anyone wants to join in?

I'll be riding in from Campbelltown along Linear Park then onto St Peters 6th, 7th Avenues then under Hackney Rd.

If anyone want to Bike Bus it again. Meet at 7.30 on the little bridge at the Sthn end of the Lochiel Park development nr the Klemzig caravan park and we'll ride from there.

Lots of Adelaide does close down, but WBSLSC assure me they will be open for breakfast Sunday!
